SMS Verbal Consent Script
Advantage Elevator LLC, doing business as Advantage Elevator Systems
Purpose
This script is used by Advantage Elevator Systems representatives when asking customers for SMS consent during phone calls or in-person conversations.
Representative Script
“For scheduling and service updates, we can communicate with you via text message. Is that okay with you? Please be aware that message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You can also reply HELP for assistance. Your consent is not a condition of purchase.”
Process
- Representative must read the script verbatim before enrolling a customer in SMS communications.
- Customer must provide a clear affirmative response (e.g., “Yes” or “That’s fine”).
- Representative records the consent in our CRM system with the phone number marked as “SMS consent given.”
- The system then triggers the universal confirmation message:
“Advantage Elevator: You have opted in to receive text updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Your consent is not a condition of purchase. T&C: https://advantageelevators.com/terms Privacy: https://advantageelevators.com/privacy-policy”
Notes
- No customer will receive SMS messages without one of the verified opt-in methods (website checkbox, verbal consent, or customer-initiated inbound text).
- Consent records are retained in our CRM for compliance and verification purposes.
